Dr. von Schulz’s scholarship in hermeneutics—the study of interpretation—examines how language and context inform legal understanding. His doctoral research in education also addresses psychology and human development. At LOvS, that perspective informs careful attention to your account and to how an injury has changed your everyday life.
His background includes corporate legal work at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and tax and legal services work at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Formal education in accounting and business brings another perspective to the financial consequences of an injury.
He has also taught contract drafting at Peking University’s School of Transnational Law. That teaching background informs his emphasis on explanations you can follow and questions you have time to ask.
